Co-designed strategies and actions with your engaged ecosystem
What we do.
We use a suite of tools and frameworks with customised and targeted elements. We have found the best tool is people! We know the value of including people in all stages; they bring experience, context, connections, creativity; and power collaboration, influence, acceleration and adoption amongst many other things. We are still founded in the realistic context, constraints, compliance and commercial aspects of a project, and pride ourselves on creating actionable outcomes.

Problem
We worked with one of the fastest growing cities in Australia with a population in excess of 300,000 people including over 200 cultures. The City Council’s long term vision is to empower a thriving, sustainable, collaborative and inclusive innovation economy and ecosystem and required support in helping to map, engage and co-design how to ensure measured success.
Solution
The process included the assessment of the current ecosystem maturity (alongside national and international metrics) followed by mapping and engaging the ecosystem stakeholders. Through this collaborative approach, the key themes of the unique value proposition for the city and a 3 year action plan were created - focusing on priority actions to ensure a richer and more mature collaborative ecosystem. We used our structured approach which was a combination of workshops, stakeholder engagement through interviews and co-design session, development of insights and research, synthesis and final report and recommendations.
Outcome
The City Council wanted a way to not only develop a plan, but also measure progress and success. In partnership with Lorraine Tighe (Smart Cities consultant), we developed an Innovation Economy Framework called LIFT N that ensured a focused, visible and measurable approach that could be implemented collaboratively by all stakeholders. The framework was presented to key stakeholders from the city during a showcase event to ensure everyone was engaged and recognised they had a role in the future success of a thriving and successful city. The action plan is now being implemented in collaboration with all stakeholders.
